Meet Ross
Ross Sheehan is the founder and lead instructor at the School of Psychogeographic Arts LLC. He launched the School in Vergennes, Vermont, in 2021. In 2024, he moved the studio school to Aptos, California.
Ross is an artist, illustrator and educator investigating themes of psychogeography and layers of place. He has exhibited at venues such as Local Project in Queens NY, SOMArts Cultural Center in San Francisco, Bennington Museum, Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, Vermont Technical College, Burlington City Arts (BCA) and Print Center New York (formerly IPCNY). He studied painting and art history in Florence, Italy, received his BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University, and his MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Ross has taught art to all ages including children, teens and adults. In addition to the School of Psychogeographic Arts, has taught at Burlington City Arts (BCA), Davis Studio and Organization of Youth Artists (OYA) in Vermont.
His artwork, including his psychogeographic-based art, has been exhibited and collected internationally. He lives in Aptos, California, with his wife, Cat Cutillo, his daughter, Remy, and his son, Bo.
