SUMMER CAMP 2 - July 7-11, Street Art (Going into Grades 2-5), 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Can drop off as early as 8:45 a.m.)
Get off-the-wall with Street Art Camp! In this painting-drawing-printmaking focused summer camp, young artists will design their own “street name and logo.”We learn about ways to exhibit our work under our new identity using guerrilla art installation tactics. As creators of street art, we will experiment with acrylic-based spray paint on panels, poster/flyer/sticker design and distribution, public textile art and sculpture installation, mixed media painting and drawing, font design, and temporary chalk art.
Young artists will participate and gain skills in making art both inside and out of the studio. Camp activities include: drawing, painting, writing, graphic design, sculpture, printmaking, stenciling, installation and local art distribution.
*Street Art Camp will embark on daily walks and explorations to maximize our time spent outdoors in and around the Seascape Village and Beach. We will emphasize ways to create guerrilla art safely and temporarily without trespassing or destroying personal property. All materials provided.
